WELCOME TO
SCARTAGLEN NATIONAL SCHOOL!

Welcome to Scartaglen National School. We are a rural co-educational catholic school situated in Scartaglen, approximately 8km south east of Castleisland town. We have 121 pupils in our school and cater for Junior Infants up to Sixth Class.

At Scartaglen N.S. we are very fortunate to have an active Parents Council. Thanks to their work and commitment we proudly present our Scartaglen N.S. Astro-Turf All Weather pitch.

At Scartaglen N.S. we are proud to be recognised as a Digital School of Distinction. STEM is at the heart of everyday learning, with pupils taking part in engaging initiatives such as Coding, Engineering and LEGO Robotics. These experiences nurture creativity, strengthen problem-solving skills and inspire a lasting passion for innovation.

Green Schools

At Scartaglen N.S. we pride ourselves in being a Green School. We encourage our students to take part in various initiatives throughout the year, including fostering a love of gardening with our school's polytunnel.
